# Find Housemates

Moving to a new area means you may not have immediate friends you can share with, or you might have spare rooms to let:

- Ask around at work if others are looking for accommodation or housemates.

- Online: There are plenty of websites – these are some of the most popular:

Choose housemates carefully – you will probably be spending a lot of time with them!

Most importantly, only sign up for a joint tenancy with people you really trust, because all tenants are jointly legally responsible for the property and entire rent – so if someone fails to pay, you could be pursued for their share!
